Carol Wiebe has worked in planning, design and land development since 1980. Carol began her career working for a major land development and consulting firm in Toronto, where she was involved in numerous mixed use, commercial and industrial land development projects. In 1986, she moved to Waterloo to work for a multi-disciplinary consulting firm where she provided services to both public and private sector clients. Carol joined MHBC in 1994. She is now responsible for the operation of our London office which opened in 2001 as well as maintaining a diverse client base in the Waterloo Region.
Carol is an expert in both neighbourhood and site design within urban and rural settings and has successfully incorporated the principles of traditional neighbourhood design into contemporary settings. Carol also provides specialized services in mediation and alternative dispute resolution in relation to planning and land use matters. She is particularly experienced in community consultation and facilitation and has hosted numerous public meetings and design charrettes. Carol has been an active member of the local (London and Kitchener-Waterloo) and the provincial (Ontario) Home Builders Association for many years. She has participated on many committees, workshops and forums dealing with housing matters, downtown revitalization and redevelopment.
Carol received her Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies (Urban Geography) from the University of Waterloo in 1980.
