Planning for the redevelopment or conservation of properties requires consideration of the existing vegetation collection found on site. The vegetation may be considered either a natural or cultural heritage resource. Our certified arborists are experienced in the preparation of vegetation assessment reports which identify trees to be protected, relocated, and removed. They are further able to develop landscape plans to add complementary planting to the site to aid in the screening of adjacent uses and the creation of special areas and streetscapes. We are also able to prepare vegetation assessments of landscape elements that may be key defining features of the cultural landscape. Examples are defined woodlots, fencerows, plantations, and roadside planting. These features are indications of the property's evolution and the range of activities that have taken place on the site. Identification of the significant vegetation components leads to the development of conservation strategies to integrate these features in plans for the future use of the property.
