Vanessa is a Heritage Planner with MHBC and joined the firm in 2016. She holds a Masters of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo’s School of Planning, specializing in heritage planning. Vanessa provides a variety of research and report writing services for public and private sector clients. She has experience in historical research, inventory work and evaluation on a variety of projects, including heritage conservation districts, heritage impact assessments and cultural heritage assessments. Prior to Joining MHBC, Vanessa gained practical experience working as a municipal heritage planner. Vanessa’s B.A. in historical/industrial archaeology from Wilfrid Laurier University enabled her to work as a cultural resource management consultant and field archaeologist for several years in Ontario.
