Megan joined MHBC in 2020 as a Planner and Urban Designer with a background in Architecture. She provides a range of urban design services for private and public sector clients, including policy reviews, master plan visioning, and preparing urban design guidelines for commercial, residential and mixed-use developments. In addition, Megan assists in planning justification analyses, preparing planning applications and obtaining development approvals for Site Plan, Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments and minor variances.
Megan earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at the University of Guelph in 2013, and her Bachelor of Environmental Design from Dalhousie University in 2017. Megan also holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies in Planning from the University of Waterloo, which she obtained in 2020.
Prior to working at MHBC Megan was a researcher at The University of Waterloo, conducted urban design charrettes and publishing research on deliberative methods of community consultation and engagement.
