Marty Chan is a Planner and Urban Designer with MHBC, with 7 years of experience in delivering a range of multi-disciplinary projects in planning and urban design. Marty joined the firm in 2019. He has a formal education specializing in land use planning and urban design through his two master degrees from the University of Toronto and University of Hong Kong.
Marty provides a wide range of urban planning and urban design services to public and private sector clients, including masterplan visioning, land use planning, policy research and analysis, open space network design, active transportation and transit-oriented development, and project coordination. Marty has assisted various small and large communities develop urban design strategies to address varying growth challenges that towns and cities encounter.
Prior to joining MHBC, Marty has worked as a planning and policy intern in the public sector. He has also worked as an Urban Designer based in Hong Kong on projects in China and Asia.
