RICHMOND HILL, ON
TRINITY DEVELOPMENT GROUP
MIXED COMMERCIAL CENTRE
2005 - 2009
TURNER FLEISCHER ARCHITECTS INC.
MHBC coordinated the development approvals for a 500,000 sq. ft mixed office, institutional and retail commercial centre at the northeast corner of Elgin Mills Road East and Leslie Street in the Town of Richmond Hill. These approvals included an Official Plan Amendment, Draft Plan of Subdivision, a Zoning By-law Amendment, Site Plan Approval and representation at the Ontario Municipal Board.
Through the development approval process, MHBC worked with the Town to ensure that Elgin Mills Crossing exhibited a high level of urban design to help achieve a sense of place and prominence in the Town. Such elements include high quality and variety of building materials, variations in building height and form, enhanced landscaping, and pedestrian friendly movement. Today, Elgin Mills Crossing provides a range of retail and service-commercial uses, office space and a second floor daycare with roof-top play area, central to the commercial centre
