ADMIRAL COLLINGWOOD DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
MIXED USE RESIDENTIAL / COMMERCIAL
2006 - 2008
RICHARD ZEIGLER ARCHITECT INC.
MHBC, the developer and the Town of Collingwood worked together to create a mixed use development at the southern end of Collingwood's historic downtown core. The facades of the newly constructed buildings will be reflective of the existing architecture of the area. The intention is to extend the downtown core through the site.
The site formerly consisted of a single building on a large lot. The new development will consist of two L-shaped buildings which will frame the lot lines of the site. Parking will be located in the middle of the site and will be virtually screened from the adjacent lands. The buildings will be oriented to the street with commercial uses at grade level and residential uses above.
This development intensifies Collingwood downtown at the same time provides additional commercial and residential space for the Town.
